What "Know Your Customer" means

Know Your Customer (KYC) is the standard process by which a financial service confirms that a client is a real, identifiable person, and that the information provided at registration is accurate.

In practice, KYC at Requindale means we collect and confirm a small set of basic facts about you: your full legal name, your date of birth, your country of residence, your contact details and the payment method you intend to use. We compare the details you typed into the sign-up form with the details shown on the documents you upload.

What we do not do

We will not request your internet banking credentials, your complete card PIN, or device access permissions. Our staff will never ask for these items. Should you receive such a request, it does not originate from us and must be reported via the abuse form.

What "anti-money laundering" means

Anti-money laundering (AML) is the set of internal controls a financial service uses to prevent its platform from being used to move the proceeds of crime, to finance illegal activity, or to disguise the true origin of funds.

AML compliance extends beyond a single identity verification. It encompasses account risk assessment, sanctions and PEP checks, transaction pattern monitoring, documentation requirements, internal handling of flagged activity, and mandatory reporting to relevant authorities where legally required.

When AML regulations and customer instructions are at odds, AML regulations prevail. This may result in transaction delays, requests for further information, or account restrictions until the issue is addressed.

Rationale

Why verification is required

  1. 01

    Legal obligation

Services that hold or transmit client funds are generally required to identify their clients before providing the service. This is not optional and applies to every account without exception.

  2. 02

    Protecting your money

Verification connects an account to a single identifiable individual. This substantially reduces account compromise risk and ensures funds can only be returned to verified payment methods in your name.

  3. 03

    Keeping the platform clean

Screening keeps sanctioned parties and anonymous shell activity off the platform, which protects every other client using it.

  4. 04

    Faster payouts later

An account verified up front does not have to stop for checks at withdrawal time, which is when delays are least welcome.

Documents

Which documents are accepted

We ask for up to three categories of document. Files should be colour images or PDFs, fully in frame, unedited, with all four corners and all text legible.

1. Identity document

A government-issued document that shows your photograph, full name, date of birth, document number and expiry date. Commonly accepted types are a passport, a national identity card, or a driving licence where it is issued as a photographic identity document. The document must be valid and not expired.

2. Proof of address

A recent document, usually issued within the last few months, showing your name and your residential address as it appears on your account. Typical examples are a utility statement, a bank or card statement, a local tax or municipal notice, or an official letter from a public authority. Post-office boxes and addresses belonging to someone else are not accepted.

3. Proof of payment method

Documentation confirming ownership of your funding source. For a credit or debit card, this typically means a photo of the card displaying your name, first six digits, last four digits and expiration date, with the middle digits and CVV obscured.

For bank account transfers, a bank statement or account confirmation in your name containing the account reference. For a digital payment service, a profile screenshot displaying your name and service account reference.

Formats and file size

Upload limits, accepted file types and any additional document requests are shown in the verification area of your account. Documents in a language other than the account language may require a translation; the compliance team will tell you if that applies.

Process

The verification steps

  1. 01

    Register

Set up your account using your actual legal name, birth date, place of residence, email address and contact number. Inconsistencies between provided information and supporting documents are the primary reason for processing delays.

  2. 02

    Confirm contact details

Verify your email address and, if applicable, your phone number. This establishes that these communication methods are under your control.

  3. 03

    Upload your identity document

Upload the pages that carry your photograph and personal data. Some checks include a short liveness or selfie step to confirm the document belongs to the person holding it.

  4. 04

    Upload proof of address

Upload a recent qualifying document in your name at the address on file.

  5. 05

    Confirm the payment method

Supply documentation for both your funding source and your withdrawal destination.

  6. 06

    Screening and review

Our compliance team reviews the file, runs the required sanctions and risk screening, and either approves the account or asks for a correction.

  7. 07

    Confirmation

You will be informed when your account's verification status is updated. Your account's verification section continuously displays the current status.

Timing

How long a check takes

Comprehensive applications typically receive attention within several hours to two business days. Materials requiring additional review, translation or supplementary information may require extended processing.

Processing duration varies based on submission volume, file quality, and whether enhanced verification procedures are activated. The timeframe applicable to your account and each document's current status are displayed in your account - this shown estimate is the authoritative reference, not external estimates.

  • Clear, complete, unedited uploads are reviewed fastest.
  • Requests submitted outside business hours are queued for the next working day.
  • Where enhanced verification is necessary, it will extend the timeline and you will be informed accordingly.
Troubleshooting

Why a check can be rejected

A rejection is usually a document problem, not a judgement about you. In most cases you can simply re-upload and the account is approved on the second attempt.

ReasonHow to fix it
Image blurred, cropped or glare-coveredCapture in natural light, positioned flat on a contrasting dark background, ensuring all four edges are included.
Document expiredUpload a currently valid document.
Name or date of birth does not match the accountCorrect the account details, or explain a legal name change with supporting proof.

If a determination is unclear, reach out to support for clarification. Where legally permissible, we will provide an explanation.

Ongoing controls

Ongoing transaction monitoring

Verification is not a one-time event. Accounts and transactions are monitored for as long as the relationship lasts.

What is monitored

Account funding activity, withdrawal activity, payment method switches, geographic or contact information changes, behavior inconsistent with your initial profile, and actions identified by our risk screening systems.

What can happen as a result

  • A request for refreshed documents or an explanation of the source of funds.
  • A provisional freeze on a particular transaction pending assessment.
  • Adjustment of the limits published in your account.
  • Restriction or closure of the account where the law requires it.

Records

Identification data and transaction records are retained for the period required by applicable law after the relationship ends, and are handled in line with our Privacy Policy. In certain circumstances the law prevents us from telling a client that a report has been made.

Your side

Your obligations

  • Give accurate, current and complete information, and keep it up to date.
  • Draw exclusively from your own funds and use exclusively your own payment methods - do not use funds or methods belonging to others.
  • Maintain a single account and protect your access credentials.
  • Respond to document requests within the timeframe stated in the request.
  • Inform us without delay of any change in your residence country, registered name, or payment method.
  • Report any suspected unauthorised access to your account immediately.

Submitting falsified or altered documents is a serious matter. It leads to closure of the account and, where applicable law requires, notification of the competent authority.

Support

Where to ask questions

If anything on this page is unclear, or you want to know the exact status of your own verification, ask us before uploading again.

Who reviews my documents?

A qualified compliance specialist. Data is held on secured infrastructure with restricted access granted only to personnel requiring access to perform the verification.

Can I start before I am verified?

Account registration and exploration are available, but activation of funding, trading and withdrawal features requires completion of verification as indicated in your account.

Do I have to verify again later?

Possibly. Documents expire, addresses change and periodic refresh is a normal part of AML compliance. We will contact you if a refresh is needed.

How do I contact the compliance team?

Use the contact route on our contact page and mention "KYC" or "verification" in your message, together with the email address on your account. Please do not send document images by unsecured channels - upload them in the account area instead.

Licenses & regulatory information

Before you upload

Get verified once, cleanly

Ninety per cent of delays come from three things: a blurred photo, an out-of-date address document, and a payment method in someone else's name. Fix those and most checks pass first time.

Need help with a document?

Our support team can tell you exactly which file was rejected and why.

  • Before proceeding, review the verification section in your account.
  • Then contact support with your registered email address.
